ART journal

. . . with my creative meanderings

"When did you decide to become an Artist?"

I believe the arts chose me. And I became starry-eyed at 6 when I realized that I could teach and make art the rest of my life. . . I was super-blessed that my raw talent was recognized and encouraged by family and teachers. One special moment: As a young teen, I drew these wild cats for my father and was thrilled when he had them professional framed and displayed. I was teaching arts and crafts to peers and children by this time and High School afforded me a few awards before I was accepted into the University of Manitoba School of Fine Art and later to the School of Education to follow my dreams.
