. . . with my creative meanderings

"Add a Catchy Title"

This is what I see written every time I start a new blog post. I can usually grab a thought and run with it...but today, life catches me short, rather than me catching something to write about. I KNOW I will paint again, hike again, kayak again, write poems again. But sometimes, life demands a LOT of the mundane from me. Waiting. Praying. Cleaning. Errands. Changes. Tiredness. More waiting.

Recently, CERN (Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland) has started a "particle zoo"...collecting exotic bits from what they believe is another dimension. In a way, with my life in the fascinating transition it is, I suppose I am collecting a "zoo of experiences" soaking them in like a sponge, both painful and exhilarating pieces of life, to add to an excitement of my yet unknown. I trust in time, I will be able to show you this through my art and poetry expressions - in my own zoo.

I am reminded of a lovely workshop I led celebrating animals we usually see in the zoo, in an African Sunset. Enjoy this student's beautiful work. Until we meet again, I leave you with this Nigerian proverb:

Do not throw away an empty net,

for you do not know what God will do next.
